If you have not done so already, create a Zoom Basics account zoom.us/signup
Download and install the latest version of the app to your device: zoom.us/download
Once the app is installed go to zoom.us/test and follow the prompts to test your Internet connection, microphone, camera, and speakers.
You can rename yourself during a meeting that has started or in the Zoom.us web portal using your Zoom Basic account sign-in. Follow the steps in the guide below.
Zoom In-meeting controls are displayed as a black bar running along the bottom of your device's meeting screen. Keep in mind that these controls only display when you join a meeting. Tap the grid icon in the upper-right corner of the Zoom meeting screen to choose Speaker or Gallery.
By default, mobile devices hide the controls unless you tap on the screen. To show them always, refer to the guide Show Meeting Controls in the section Mobile Devices.
By default, Zoom in-meeting controls are hidden on mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet. You can activate the control bar and speaker grid by tapping on the screen but after a few moments, they will disappear. Follow the steps in the guide to always show the controls and grid!
By default, mobile devices only display the active speakers. But what about showing other attendees in the meeting. Follow the steps in this guide to display all attendees. The steps differ between a smartphone and tablet.
Using a mobile device you can apply background and effects to your video window.
Tap the More ... button in the meeting Controls bar
Select Background and Effects.
Tap the effect that your want to appl y such as Blur.
To dismiss Backgrounds tap the double arrows pointing inward in the left corner of your video window.
