THE WINDMILL FARM AND CRAFT MARKET: http://www.thewindmill.com

The Windmill is the first and friendliest farm and craft market in upstate New York, located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Midway between Penn Yan and Dundee on NY Route 14A, The Windmill has become a premier tourist attraction, with a weekly attendance exceeding 8,000 - 10,000 people. Beginning with roughly 100 vendors, The Windmill serves as an outlet for local producers and craftsmen. Now in its 20th year, The Windmill now plays host to nearly 200 shops and craftsmen, boasting everything from farm fresh produce to an on-site Chiropractor, you're sure to find something for everyone.

FINGER LAKES WINE FESTIVAL - http://www.flwinefest.com/special.html

There's a lot to do at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival! When you're not tasting and buying wine, you can tap your toes to live music at the main stage in The Park, learn more about wine at one of the New York Wine and Grape Foundation's seminars, watch live demonstrations in the courtyard, don't miss the Hot Glass Road Show by the Corning Museum of Glass, shop for arts and crafts, try an exciting pace car ride around the track, or wine-and-dine to start your day with a champagne breakfast.

CORNELL PLANTATIONS - http://plantations.cornell.edu

Bring your group and explore Cornell Plantations with a guided tour. Plantations offers two types of guided group tours, bus tours and walking tours. (See below for tour descriptions.) Be sure to schedule far in advance since our tour calendar fills quickly.

Each tour lasts approximately an hour. You may wish to allow extra time to explore the gardens on your own and to browse the gift shop where maps and brochures are available. Plantations does not have dining facilities, but interesting places to eat abound in Ithaca.

Cost: There is a charge of $5 per person with a minimum of $50 for each group tour. Registration with a nonrefundable deposit of $20 must be received at least two weeks in advance to reserve a tour date. Full payment is due upon arrival.

To Register: Please call or e-mail Kevin Moss, Community Outreach Coordinator, at (607) 254-7430, to make arrangements for your tour.

ITHACA FARMER'S MARKET - http://ithacamarket.com

The Ithaca Farmer's Market is a cooperative with 165 vendors who live within 30 miles of Ithaca, New York. Agricultural vendors grow and offer high quality fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, poultry and dairy products. Food vendors bring a wide variety of freshly baked goods, jellies, honey, and sauces as well as delicious meals to eat at the market. Many talented artists and craftspeople sell their exceptional, locally made items.

Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, the market pavilion is situated on the water's edge, in a garden-like setting, and is surrounded by trees and flowering plants. To add to your visit, we even have a tour boat that moors at our dock and offers rides up Cayuga Lake (http://www.tioherotours.com). Come visit us and shop for some of the best that New York State has to offer!

GRASS ROOTS FESTIVAL - http://www.grassrootsfest.org/trumansburg

The festival is presented over a four day period (Thursday-Sunday) on four stages which run ridiculously long hours to accommodate the 60 some bands that play the festival. The band selection reflects the eclectic tastes of our 'amorphous committee', a difficult to nail down group of musicians and artists who lean toward roots related & world music.

GrassRoots doesn't hesitate to bring you great music you've never heard of before. Every year wonderful new bands are discovered and presented along with many old and true friends. Check out the list of previous years artists for a general idea of what's in store for the future.
